The 2023 Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 Summer Concert Series continues in Downtown Statesville, NC on Friday, July 7 , with the always entertaining Pizazz Band! Pizazz sizzles with the energy that pounds your heart and gets your body and feet moving with Soul, Funk, Beach, Country and Rock.
Get into the romantic, soulful voice of Lead Man Kent Zimmerman. The talent of the Pizazz Band is unsurpassed with Mark Davidson's gravelly, smokey vocals and fluid guitar. Roger Whitsett keeps the beat going on drums. Listen to Brooks Paul's silky smooth vocal as well on keys, & guitar. Don Valleraux will hypnotize you on Saxophone & Keys, completing the band is the solid timing and groove of bassist Kenny Hancock.
The diversity of the band will wow you with the rhythmic lyrical vocals to hip hop and funk, country lyrics that will transform you from the realities of your lives. Listen for the strong groove and rhythm that these accomplished musicians bring to each song.

The Piedmont HealthCare Friday After 5 Summer Concert Series offers FREE entertainment to Statesville’s residents, neighbors, and visitors in Downtown Statesville from May through September and features music of all styles. Whether you like Beach Music and Country or Blues and Rock and Roll, you’ll hear something you will enjoy dancing and singing along to!
The concerts are held in Downtown Statesville on West Broad Street in front of Mitchell Community College from 6 – 8:30 pm. Beer, wine, spirits, soft drinks, water, and food will be available for purchase beginning at 5pm. Bring your chairs and enjoy a great night of music, but remember no pets, outside beverages, or coolers are allowed.
